A creative lifestyle is about achieving balance in life. It is about taking charge of your life and making it more meaningful.  It is about prioritizing your needs and fulfilling them. With a creative and healthy lifestyle you are able to experience the luxuries of life discovered by you. Able to create a life with all aspects being balanced and is able to find and create inner peace and focus.

It helps to recognize the world of ideas, inspiration and imagination around you.  You are able to simplify things and reduce frustration and confusion.  You are able to make better decisions and become more successful.

A creative and healthy lifestyle can also help change your life positively and make it more interesting and exciting. You become more energetic and get eager to learn and experience new things.  You start living your life to the fullest!

Do what your heart desires

Everyday if we do things that we need or have to then those things become major part of our life. Our desires get buried and we don’t get a chance to actually do what we want to.  Well it is never too late; do something different, do what your heart desires.  You will not only be pleased and happy but also feel like you have made an accomplishment. There may be many things that your heart desires, so you have to start somewhere in order to fulfill others.

Cherish each moment

Every moment is unique so cherish it.  Sometimes we tend to wait for that right moment to be cherished but if you look more closely then you will find that each moment is special.  Whether it is a happy moment or sad – they all have a meaning and a message for you.

3  Let go of anger 

First of all, anger is the cause of many health problems.  If you have been angry about something that you did, someone else did or something happened then why keep dwelling in those thoughts and put yourself in a position which doesn’t do any good to you but harm your health.  Forgive, forget and move on.  Life is too precious!

4  Believe in your dreams

If you have dreams then believe in them.  If you have dreams about becoming a physician, scientist, mechanic, or living in a mansion then don’t think it’s impossible.  It is possible and only you can make it happen.  Your dreams help you work harder and smarter.  Dreams help you stay focused on your goals and strive for the best.

5  Trust yourself

How do you expect to trust others or others to trust you, if you don’t trust yourself?  You need to believe in you in order to make better decisions or choices in life.  You need to have faith in you to achieve your goals. Trust is a very powerful concept and can change lives dramatically. Trust yourself and you won’t be disappointed with your decision.

6  Take care of yourself

Being physically and mentally healthy is everyone’s desire and is very important.  By taking care of yourself you will be able to enjoy many luxuries of a healthy lifestyle.  So do pay attention to your body’s needs and make it a priority. You are the only one who can create that beautiful healthy path for yourself.

7  Love yourself

Forgive your self for the mistakes you have made.  We all make mistakes and it is these mistakes that help us improve and make better decisions later in life.  Love yourself and be happy with who you are.  You are a lovable person and making mistakes doesn’t make you less special!

8  Listen to your heart

Sometimes we tend to do things that come to our mind without really paying attention to what our heart wants.  Your heart is not only connected to you but also to what is going around you.  If you get emotional what gets affected first – Heart. When you are happy what gets affected first – Heart. So listen to the voice of your heart – it won’t lead you the wrong way.

9  Be creative

There are many talents in you, so bring them out.  Use them to bring more creativity in your life.  Do something that you are really good at; like scrapbooking, playing guitar, wood carving, – what ever it is that you want to do.  Don’t be afraid to try.  There are so many books and even tips on the internet.  Who knows you may end up with a new hobby or profession!

10  Welcome changes

Don’t be afraid of change.  Change can be good.  Change can bring creativity, new positive thoughts and actions in life.  It can end up having you do something that you never thought you would be able to do and make you proud. There is no need to take change seriously.  Remember taking one step at a time helps to find the path with less difficulty.

11  Do what you enjoy

There are times we do things but don’t really enjoy.  Next time why don’t you do something that you really enjoy.  Hiking, scenic drive, scuba diving – whatever it is that you enjoy.  Take some time out to have fun.  You deserve it! Life is very precious and should be enjoyed and cherished.

12  Don’t think too hard

Give yourself a break.  Thinking too hard can make you tired, give you headache and get you frustrated as well.  Take it easy and take your thoughts away from what you have been thinking about.  Relax yourself and then go back to it.  Taking breaks is important.  Give yourself some rest. Writing down things will also help you find the solution without being too stressed.

13  Spend more time with your loved ones

What is more fun then spending quality time with our loved ones?  They are part of us and our life.  Each moment spent with them is very precious and will be cherished forever.  By spending time with them you are able to share and express your thoughts and also learn more about each other.

14  Follow your heart

By following your heart you know what you want and will commit yourself in getting it.  You will be more enthusiastic about your goals and will be more likely to succeed.  And if you don’t succeed then you will be able to take comfort from the actuality that at least you tried.

15  Go for a walk

Feeling frustrated, overwhelmed, and unable to think any more – take a walk.  Feel the fresh air, look up to the endless bright blue sky, enjoy the sunshine, look at the trees, and listen to the birds.  You will definitely feel better!

16  Keep learning and experiencing new things

Knowledge is something that I believe we can never have enough of.  There is so much to learn and experience.  They teach us so many new things about our consistently changing environment. Sharing experiences with others also helps us to learn new things.

17  Understand your values

Your values help you to understand what is important to you.  They help you to make decisions, set goals, how to act within your family and friends and even set rules and principals.  Values help you to determine what is right and wrong for you. They are the guiding force that keeps you on track!

18  Take pride in what you do

Be proud of yourself.  What you are doing now, whether fixing a car, flying an airplane, programming software, scrapbooking, what ever it is – you are doing it because you are good at it.  You have the ability and skill to do that.  Be proud of that.

19  Face the problem

Running away from problems will make it worse! Be brave and tackle them.  If you are serious enough then you will have no difficulty getting it resolved.  We all have problems and if we all run away from them then how will we be able to operate successfully.  We won’t be able to get anything done.

20  Lighten up and be proud

If someone tells you that you are boring, useless and don’t know anything then don’t let those words envelope your thoughts.  Don’t take it seriously and get mad at them or yourself.  It will bring nothing good in your life.  So lighten up and be proud of who you are.

21  Spend some time alone

Sometimes we are running around getting things done – at home, at work, at school and so on. We hardly get a chance to focus on ourselves.  I’ve found that spending some time alone helps to focus on ourselves. It gives a chance to learn more and get connected to your heart.

22  Be patient

We can’t achieve everything overnight.  Everything takes time.  So take a step at a time.  Set your short-term and long-term goals and achieve them one at a time.  Make them simple and maybe break them further down into smaller steps.  Make it easy for yourself.  That way you won’t get frustrated or impatient.

23  Don’t worry about what others say

Being a sensitive person you do care what others feel and think about you.  But does that really help you be true and confident with yourself?  How can you be true if you act or behave to other people’s expectations?  Being vigilant about others opinion, you are not only inviting stress and frustration in your life but it can also harm your health.

24  Get connected to nature

How many times have you really been out there to enjoy the beauty of nature?  There are so many things that nature lets us appreciate.  Not only it helps to get connected to the beauty which helps us to relax and rejuvenate our mind and body but also helps us to think things clearly. 

25  Steer your own boat

Don’t let others make decisions for you. No one knows you better than you.  So why let others decide what is wrong and what is right for you.  Stand up for yourself and do what YOU think is right for you.

26  Share your love

At the end it is all about loving each other.  Share your love, your good wishes with your friends and family.  Let them know how much you appreciate them and how much they mean to you. Cherish their company and make it more special by sharing your love everyday.

27  Past is valuable

It is good not to live and dwell in the past but it is valuable to note that it is because of what happened in the past that we are able to do better now. The mistakes and lessons taught in the past help us to improve and maintain better life today.  If it wasn’t for the past then we wouldn’t have known what decisions to make now. Our past has taught us many things about life and needs to be cherished.

28  Be hopeful

Hope is very powerful! If we have hope then we can achieve what we want.  If we have hope then we can do many things that we would like to do.  Hope helps us to keep going and do what needs to be done. Hope helps us to do better. Being hopeful helps us in many ways and enlightens our life.

29  Make yourself comfortable

Be comfortable with your surroundings.  If you are uncomfortable with something – where you live or what you do then you don’t need to let yourself feel uneasy and miserable.  Move if needed and do things that you are more comfortable.  Why torture yourself.  You are more important than anything else.  So comfort yourself!

30  Avoid procrastination

If it is something you can do now then why wait later.  If you put it off for later then what you needed to later will be put off to next day and so on.  Do what you can do now.  It will cause less confusion and frustration.  It will help you stay on top of things and enjoy more time focusing on things that you usually don’t have time for.

31  Know yourself

No one can know you better than you.  You are the only one who knows what you like and dislike, what you want in life, what makes you happy and what your goals are. You are aware of your own abilities and skills and only you can decide what and how you want to achieve your goals.  It would make your life a lot smoother.

32  Reward Yourself

You know how hard you work.  You know how much you have accomplished.  Reward yourself.  Be proud of yourself and appreciate yourself.  Treat yourself to your favorite cuisine; watch the movie that you have always wanted to, anything that makes you happy. 

33  Relax and rejuvenate your mind and body

Both our mind and body needs to be relaxed and rejuvenated to feel better.  Get a massage, take a bubble bath, practice yoga, go canoeing – anything that makes you feel relaxed and rejuvenated.  Remembers it is a very important ingredient for living a healthier lifestyle.

34 Your thoughts affect your behavior

How we think about ourselves, our life and others affects our behavior.  Our thoughts and actions go together.  Try to think about things that brings happiness in your life. That way you will not get angry at small things, avoid being depressed and stressed. 

35  Trying to prove – what for and why

Sometimes I see people trying to prove themselves to others.  That they can do better, they are not what others think they are and so on.  There is no need to prove yourself to others.  You are fine the way you are.  You know what is best for you so don’t worry about what others think and proving them they are wrong. You continue doing what you need to do and be happy.

36  Be true to yourself

Lying will not get you success – whether it is to others or yourself. You have to be true to yourself.  Pretending and faking to be someone will hurt you more and not let you achieve what you want to.  You don’t need to know everything in order to be successful.

37  Jumping to conclusions

Concluding something without gathering all the details or knowing the fact is immaturity.  You can’t just make assumptions about anything and anyone just like that.  Before making any comments always ask yourself if you have enough details or evidence to support your opinion.

38  Don’t be afraid of making mistakes

No one is perfect and we all make mistakes.  We learn by making mistakes, we become smarter by making mistakes and we get wiser and make better decisions afterwards. So don’t be afraid of making mistakes; if you do then just try not to repeat it.

39  Don’t worry too much

Worrying and being depressed about something won’t do you any good but rather harm your health, both mentally and physically.  Stress can have a great impact on your life overall.  So lighten up and take a deep breadth.  Embrace all the good things around you – beauty of nature, kindness and love from family and friends – cheer up!

40  Keep it balanced

Just working all the time is not healthy.  Take some time to spend with your family, go on a trip or engage yourself in any other leisure activities that you like.  Have some time for play as well.  Balance it out and enjoy your life to the fullest!

41  Clear communication

It’s very important to maintain a clear communication between yourself and others.  Sometimes unclear message can cause lot of confusion, frustration and even conflicts.  Make it easy for yourself.  Sharing feelings can be a little difficult to do, but clear and direct communication is the key to understanding.   

42  Appreciate what you have

Be happy with what you already have.  Complaining of not having enough won’t get you more.  Appreciate what you have, cherish them and be proud. Remember there are many out there who don’t have even close to what you have.

43  A fresh start

It is never too late to start fresh.  If you want to change the way you live your life then go for it.  You can do it.  If you want to be happier, bring in more solitude, creativity and love in your life then what can be better than that. Enjoy it!

44  Be Optimistic

It is easy to say but takes time and great effort to live a life optimistically.  There will be few times when your thoughts could turn towards negative energy and bringing them back to positive could be challenging.  Determination and dedication are two things that become very useful at this stage. Living optimistically not only creates a healthy lifestyle but also promotes serenity and tranquility around your environment. 

45  Be kind to yourself

Don’t be rude to yourself by putting yourself down.  Don’t make comments like “I never come up with a good idea or make good decisions”. Everyone makes mistake and it is alright if you made mistake too.  That doesn’t make you less self-worthy.

I believe the person with a high self-worth is the one who makes mistakes, accepts it, forgives him or her self and works on improving so that he or she doesn’t make the same mistake again.

46  Express yourself 

Share your feelings, thoughts and ideas.  Don’t keep quiet, thinking that others will make fun of them.  How will you know that your idea was a great one unless you share or try it?

47  Be adaptable.

Everyone doesn’t have to agree with your decisions or ideas. You will come across people who won’t agree with you and which is fine.  Everybody has his or her own views and opinions.  There will be times when you won’t agree with others as well.  We have to respect each other’s opinion and thoughts.

48  Live your values with integrity

Being honest and upright are qualities of a person who adheres to his or her morals and ethical principals. Making unbiased decisions, opinions and statements will help accomplish more and surround you with people who have great qualities.

Integrity creates trust and accountability. Integrity is a must if you want a life filled with love and joy.

49  Be attentive   

Sometimes we get so indulged in making others happy or doing things to just to get them done.  But you need to pay attention to what you want and what really makes YOU happy. What are your dreams and your goals?

Ask yourself what you would be rather doing now.  What would make you happier?

50  Quit blaming

If something has happened in your life that you are not happy or proud of, or maybe have been hurt then don’t blame others.  As they say, you can’t clap with one hand.  There are always two sides of a story. 

So by blaming others or your own self will help you achieve nothing but hatred, anger and jealously.  So just let go of resentment.  It won’t do you any good.  Just forgive, forget and move on with your life.  There are so many wonderful things and opportunities out there waiting for you.  Embrace them and be happy!

51  Think twice

Making important decisions or commitments in haste can sometimes go downhill.  Whatever it is, think, give it enough time to sync in and then make a decision.  Ask yourself if you are ready or if that is what you really want and that you will not regret later.

It is important to have all the details so that it is easier for you to vision the result and make the right selection.
