I love decoupage projects, not only is it simple to do but the results can be quite amazing.  Plus there are many decoupage projects you can do with kids and they love the results.  Here are few projects that you can try this weekend.

This is a super cute way to reuse Dr Seuss books. All you need to do is get some pages from old Dr Seuss book and wooden letters which you can find at your local craft store. Apply a thick layer of Mod Podge to the letters and layer the page on top of the letters.  Then apply another layer of Mod Podge on top of the pages to seal it. Source

Excellent way to make plain boring votives look more glamorous. Most of us have tissue papers at home so this project is a perfect way to use them. Punch out the tissue paper in different shapes or patterns then scoop out a bit of Mod Podge with your paintbrush and water it down  a bit to get a thinner texture. Glue the tissue paper (cut out shapes) to the jar using the paintbrush. Source

Cut the fabric to fit around the pot. Put Mod Podge on one end of the fabric and glue it to the pot. After the edge dries, spread Mod Podge on the rest of the pot and carefully smooth the fabric over it. Cut slits in the fabric around the top. Glue the ends of the fabric to the inside of the pot. Apply two coats of primer on the entire can and wait to dry. Then apply white paint. Cut out the flowers from the fabric and apply the glue to the back of the flower and attach to the tin can. Then apply the glue on top of the flowers securing the edges. Add the bias tape across the top edge of the can to give it a finished look. Source

Let’s get those balloons to work. Blow up the balloon and mix equal part of mod podge and glitter into a bowl. Using the paintbrush apply the mixture to your balloon and let it sit overnight to dry.  Once the mixture is hardened, pop the balloon using a safety pin. Remove the balloon and enjoy your glitter bowl. Source
