How to Decorate Clothespins

January 31, 2013

I love decorative clothespins which can be used for so many things like, baby shower, bridal shower, weddings, and birthdays and even for decorating – like hanging child’s artwork and so forth. And the best part they are so easy to make. The hardest part is selecting the right paper colors or patterns. You can also embellish with buttons, rhinestones, stickers, stamps, etc. It’s all about using your imagination.

Today, I tried to make my own and couldn’t believe how simple it is to decorate the clothespins – using decorative paper.

Things you will need:
Wooden Clothespins
Decorative Paper
Mod Podge
X-acto Utility Knife

First, select the section of the paper that you want to cover your clothespins with. In this case I selected the roses.

Then apply the Mod Podge to the clothespins and place the clothespin on the paper. Mod Podge side should be facing down so that it attaches to the paper.

Then using x-acto utility knife cut around the clothespin.

Then apply the Mod Podge again and let it dry.

That’s it – you are done.
