Homemade Skin Care Recipes
Here are some of my favorite skin care recipes which anyone can make. All the ingredients are easy to find. So have fun!
Egg Yolk and Avocado Cleanser
Beat one egg yolk and add ½ cup of milk and a peeled and mashed avocado. Mix with a fork until it is the consistency of a lotion. Apply the cleanser to your face and neck. Leave it on for at 20 – 25 minutes and then rinse with warm water. Pat dry with a clean towel.
Yogurt and Honey Cleanser
Mix plain yogurt with honey and apply to your face and neck. Leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes and wash off with warm water. Pat dry with a clean towel.
Epsom salt for Dry Skin
While your skin is still wet, rub handfuls of Epsom salt on the rough areas to exfoliate skin.
Grapefruit for Dry Elbow
Rub a grapefruit half on your elbow and leave it for 15 minutes. Wash it off with warm water and pat dry.
Banana and Honey for Dry Skin
Mash a banana and add pure honey. Apply to skin and wash it off after 15 minutes.
Lemon and Almond Cleanser for All Skin Types
Grind almonds using a coffee grinder. Add 2 tablespoon milk and 1 teaspoon lemon juice. Mix well and apply to your skin. Leave it on for 15 minutes and wash it off with warm water.
Oatmeal Exfoliating Scrub for All Skin Types
Grind oatmeal using coffee grinder. Mix 1 teaspoon of oatmeal with 1 teaspoon of baking soda. Add water to make a thick paste. Apply to your skin and leave it on for 10 minutes. Wash it off and pat dry.
Oatmeal, Onion and Honey Mask for Acne
Take a cup of cooked oatmeal and add grinded onion. Mix well and add honey and little bit of yogurt. Apply the mixture to your skin and leave it on for at least 20 minutes. Wash it off with warm water and pat dry.
